Don't Wait Until It's To Late!

Helping men, their families, and the women that love them since 2004

Rather than have hundreds of links to articles and resources no one will ever navigate through, we have tried to include links to what we consider "most relevant" resources. The first section is about paternity and paternity fraud. The second section has links to sites that have a broader scope of related issues.

Paternity Fraud Links

TRUTH AND CONSEQUENCES: PART 1. Disestablshing the Paternity of Non-Marital Children
This article by Paula Roberts was published by CLASP (Center for Law and Social Policy). It begins with "About one-third of all children born in the United States each year are born to unmarried parents..." Married or not, this easy to read and compelling report explains the historical development of establishing and disestablishing paternity. It also contains perhaps the best compilation of related court cases from various states and many links to appropriate references. This is the first of a series of three related papers, the other two are immediately below, and like the this one are must reading for anyone interested in paternity related issues, particularly paternity fraud and Child Identity Theft...

TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES: PART II. Questioning the Paternity of Marital Children

TRUTH OF CONSEQUENCES: PART III Who Pays When Paternity Is Disestablished

CITY OF LOS ANGELES v. NAVARRO
Manuel Navarro's compelling case and resulting appellate court decision may be the most important paternity fraud reform victory for many years to come. In 2005 the entire paternity fraud industry tried to get the decision "depublished" so the case would not set a precedent, but dedicated opposition prevailed and the court refused to depublish, thus establishing a legal precedent. The implications of this case are extraordinary...

Canadian Children's Rights Council
GREAT SITE WITH A WEALTH OF INFORMATION AND LINKS TO ARTICLES AROUND THE WORLD.

Paternity Suit News Articles
Chalk full of paternity suit and fraud articles from October 2003. Check out "About" too...

Injustice by Default, How the effort to catch
This 2004 "reasononline" article by Matt Welch is a must read. "Here’s how it works: When an accused 'obligor' fails, for whatever reason, to send his response on time, the court automatically issues a "default judgment" declaring him the legal father. It does not matter if he was on vacation, was confused, or (as often happens) didn’t even receive the summons, or if he simply treated the complaint’s deadlines with the same lack of urgency people routinely exhibit toward jury duty summonses -- he’s now the dad. 'In California, you don’t even have to have proof of service of the summons...

PATERNITY AND FRAUD: Contesting Paternity
This article provides information on how paternity may in some cases be considered a 'rebuttable presumption' (an arguable point, rather than a foregone conclusion). Also included are some cites to case law, and some ideas on the manner in which paternity may be contested...

No reason to a lot of links on this site re men, not when there's men'slinks.net which has most of them and then some. It's a very good site for finding just about anything you need to know about men's issues.

Men's Movie Guide

Fantastic unique site for film, TV and theatre buffs dying for want of a related resource for men, their families, and the women that love them. The philosophy of the site, in part, says

"The times that we live in are increasingly anti-male.  This is most evident in the media.  Many people have become so used to male-bashing in the media that they don't even notice it anymore.  It seems normal to them.

A number of negative effects have been produced by our cultural biases regarding gender:

Our legal system feels that fathers should have no right to see their children after divorce.  They leave it up to the mother to decide if children and fathers may contact each other.

Right on the money is that! So, take a look. Find a flick. Use it to educate others. Find out just how deep anti-male bias runs in films, TV and theatre.

MENSBIZ
This link will take you to the paternity fraud section of cafepress.com/mensbiz, i.e., "MENSBIZ." There you can find a wide selection of reasonably priced advocacy products, like t-shirts, bumper stickers, hats, and so on. Buy something, use it, and become a one-person protest.

National Coalition of Free Men LA
